Baby Do Dit

Baby Do Dit is Alex's favorite new phrase. She wants to do everything herself. She loves getting in the car and climbing in her car seat all by herself. I have to make sure we leave a few minutes early because it takes her for ever and if I try to help, she tells me, "no Mommy help, baby do dit!!!" If I am making her breakfast and moving a little too slow, she will take her plate off the counter and take it to the coffee table and start eating. At the mall the other day she got out of her stroller and decided she wanted to push it. I tried to help steer and she moved my hands away, "baby do dit." Every morning we climb into our bed and she brings all of her babies and we snuggle while she drinks milk. She used to make 3-5 trips back and forth to bring everything she wanted to our bed. She got smart and realized I can do it in one trip, so she will say, "mommy help" so I will carry everything for her. For as independant as she is becoming, she still has her snuggle, wants to be held moments. While we were shopping yesterday, she insisted I pick her up and carry her. I guess that's what I get for not bringing her stroller! She is becoming anti-highchair and likes to sit in booster seats or just in a chair.
She will carry on a full conversation with me and I LOVE it! I absolutely adore this age! She loves talking on the phone and we call Nomi at least one a day and usually more!

She refers to herself in 3rd person all the time. She usually calls herself baby. On our way to dance the other day, we talked about her being a big girl while she was there. (The last few weeks, she'd flipped out and I would have to sit in the corner of the room for her to participate.) She informed me, "Alex no cry, big girl!" She stayed true to her word, she didn't cry and I didn't have to sit in the room!

Her second 2 year molar broke through. We are now waiting on the bottoms and all of her baby teeth will be in!
