I had a great time with my Mom last week. It was so nice just having someone around during the day. I was so sad Friday when she left. The house was so quiet again. We really didn't do too much, just hung out, ran some errands and took naps!
Josh and I have had a great time with Alex this weekend. We are starting a bedtime routine. She gets a bath around 7 or 7:30, into jammies then she gets fed. She usually falls asleep while she is eating so Friday night, we put her to bed as soon as she was done. Last night she was just so sweet. She got done eating then just snuggled up next to me with her eyes wide open. She looked like a little angel! I put her down but I guess she wasn't too tired so she got a little fussy. I ended up letting her sleep on my chest for a little while then she went back to sleep. This seems to work out great for us. If she is in bed by 8 or 8:30, I can feed her one more time before I go to bed, then she is up 2-3 times at night.
Last night she woke up a few times. I usually change her diaper, feed her, then put her back down. During her diaper change at 5am, she had a little explosion. I am used to changing her diaper, her pooing then having to change it again. Well last night was different. We ran out of Pampers yesterday and had to go with the Huggies. We both like the Pampers better, they seem to fit her tighter. So, I had her diaper off and she was being a wiggle worm. I lifted her legs to put the new diaper under her and she let it rip. Not just a toot, but full on poo! It went all over the lap pad, changing pad cover, containers on the changing table, clean burp cloths, the wall and yes, the mirror. After she pooed, she peed all over herself so I had to change her into new pj's, which she hates. I cleaned as much as I could in the dark and fed her. When I got back in bed, I told Josh he was on diaper duty. When we got up this morning we surveyed the damage. There was more poo on the walls and mirror plus some on the new diapers. Oh well, I guess you live and learn.
