woo hoo!

My Mom is here all week! She got here Monday...I guess that was just yesterday. We have been relaxing and watching movies. We got out today to run some errands which was nice. Tomorrow we have Alex's 2 week checkup and my follow up appointment with my OB. I'm looking more forward to Alex's appointment than my own!

2 great things happened today! Alex's umbilical cord stump finally fell off! It was rather disgusting looking so I have been putting alcohol on it several times a day to help dry it out. It finally worked! It has been barely hanging on the last 2 days and today it just came off! It looked like a purple dried up turd. It was really gross but now I don't have to look at it everyday and she can now have a real bath! Woo hoo!

The second great thing that happened is...I am wearing my jeans I wore before I got pregnant! I still have some weight to lose but I pretty much look like I did before I got pregnant! I am so excited about that! I thought it would be weeks or months before I could fit into my regular clothes, I never thought it would be less than 2 weeks!

Well, Josh just put the little munchkin down for bed so we are going to hang out with my mom!
