Alex talks and sings non-stop. A few current favorite songs are Frosty the Snowman, every song from Beauty and the Beast, Katy Perry's Fireworks, and pretty much any Lady Gaga song. Our conversations crack me up...here are a few examples!
Yesterday we were on the couch and there was a spider on the floor...
Alex: Mommy, there is a spider! Get it! He's going to eat my bracelet! (Which was on the floor near the spider)
Me: Baby, he isn't going to eat your bracelet
Alex: He's just just licked it! Get toilet paper and pick him up!
(I got a napkin, picked him up and flushed him)
Alex: Mommy, he's in my toilet. He wants pancakes. His mommy is making him pancakes!
Alex: What we doing today?
Me: we have to get Grandma a birthday gift
Alex: does she need a card?
me: yes
Alex: does she need candles?
me: yes
Alex: does she need a party hat?
me: umm, maybe!
Alex: does she need a piano?
me: a piano? no
Alex: hmmmm, how about, ummmmm, how about...stickers!
Alex: Mommy, I need a little water
Me: sweetheart, I'm sorry, I forgot your cup at home
Alex: Daddy, I need a little water, can you please stop and get me some?
In her mind everything that happened in the past happened yesterday. She talks about stuff we did weeks ago and always says we did it yesterday. Every night while I tuck her in, she ask what we are doing the next day. If I tell her we don't have any plans, she always has suggestions! She will point out product logos anywhere we go. She will call out UPS trucks, 18 wheelers with Target, HEB or Walmart trailers, Samsung, anything Mickey Mouse or Snoopy and Lowes. She has a crazy amazing memory!
I absolutely love this age! She is soo much fun and keeps me laughing every single day!
