We started our morning off with soccer. Alex still loves it and is probably one of the best ones in the class. She is still the only girl, but totally blows the boys out of the water! lol Honestly with our class, it isn't too hard. Of the 4 boys today, one sat in the car screaming and crying most of the time, another sat on his blanket eating a snack and the other two played in the sand. The hard part for Alex is not getting a snack in the middle of practice when she sees the other kids eating whatever they want. I'm trying to teach her a little patience, so she has to wait until the end to get a little snack.
I've been talking to her this week about what activities she wanted to do this summer. It changes every single day. I asked her, do you like dance or gymnastics better? Dance. Ok, so if you only could do one what would it be? Gymnastics! Finally today she told me she does not want to do gymnastics this summer. I asked her several times because registration started today. She always said no, until we talked to our friends in the next soccer class and they said they were doing gymnastics, then Alex HAD to do gymnastics too. Registration opened at 10am, I was there at 10:30, we didn't leave until noon! It was CRAZY! There weren't that many people ahead of us, but each parents was signing up their kids along with friends kids. I heard some people sign up as many as 10 kids! Everywhere else we go has a window where the current students can sign up, then they open to the public. Gymnastics does not, which stinks! Half of our friends ended up at one time half of us at a different time, thanks to a family of 3 year old triplets that swooped in and filled the class we wanted! Oh well! I guess next year, we have to go earlier! I decided Alex will only do gymnastics for the first summer session. The last 6 weeks of summer we are taking a break from EVERYTHING! I want to be able to go where ever with out worrying about missing an activity.
So far our summer includes 6 weeks of gymnastics and a week of Princess dance camp!
