my new favorite room!

The furniture finally came in! We drove to Houston Friday afternoon to pick it up since they wouldn't deliver to College Station. Of course, as soon as we got home we had to start opening everything. We moved all of the furniture out of the guest room and put together her crib! We have the room set up now and it looks gorgeous! You know I had to put the bedding in the crib already and I love it! It is my new favorite room in the house. I usually sit in here (yes, I am sitting in the glider right now admiring the room) every afternoon and Coopie just naps on the floor. There are still some things we need to do like hang the wall letters that I painted the other night, hang a few mirrors and frames. I ordered her chandelier Monday so that should be here Saturday and hopefully we can get it hung this weekend! I also need to order the curtains. I found the cutest pink layered ruffle curtains I am going to order. I am so excited about getting her room completely in order! It is our main priority now. Looking at the rest of our house you can tell that we have slacked a little. We still have the guest bedroom furniture strewn around until we have time to go buy a new bed frame so we can switch out all of the furniture. (We are putting the guest room furniture in our room and getting rid of our current furniture.)

hmmm, what else has been going on? We were in Dallas this last weekend for Father's Day so we spent some time with both families. We got to see my cousins (Chris and Jennifer) new baby, Peyton. She is 3 weeks old and the cutest little thing. She will be the closest in age to Alex.

We went to our 2nd prenatal class last night which included the hospital tour. The labor, delivery and recovery area is really nice. Being in one of the rooms that I may actually be in made everything seem so real. I started having dreams last night that I was in labor, I'm sure it was because of the tour. Josh and I realized last night that we are both so ready to meet our little girl. I don't know, in the past it has seemed like my delivery date was so far away. Now it is only 8 weeks away, I can't believe it.

Little Miss Alex has been crazy lately. I swear she never sleeps. She is always kicking or poking me. her favorite "torture time" is when it's time to go to bed. I get all comfy then she decides she is going to see how far she can poke her limbs out of my side. It is the weirdest feeling. You can actually see her pushing my side out. Of course when I tell Josh to feel it, she stops. She is making me look crazy!

I have another doctors appointment tomorrow, just a regular check up so nothing too exciting. Check blood pressure, weight gain, pee in a cup, finger poke to check my iron levels then meet with the doctor to listen to her heartbeat and answer any questions.

We have been slacking a little on weekly pictures so maybe we'll take one tonight and I'll post it tomorrow. We will post pics of the room once it is complete. Josh said no pics until it's done! He is so mean! :)
