Big Day!

We had a busy busy day! For those of you who don't know, Josh is a car guy. When we first moved to College Station, we had 5 cars. Yes, crazy I know, 5 cars for 2 people. In the time that we have lived here, we have bought 6 cars and sold 7...we were finally down to 3 cars! Josh has been thinking about what car he would get next. He finally decided on a Jaguar, he has always wanted one. He found one in Houston he fell in love with, so we headed to Houston first thing this morning to pick up the car. Josh LOVES it! It is so pretty! Since we were practically to Galveston, we decided to go to Gaido's, our favorite restaurant on the island. It was just as good as we remembered! From Gaido's we headed down to our favorite beach! I was so excited to take Alex to see the ocean for the first time. As we were driving down the island, we noticed some damage from Hurricane Ike, but for the most part, everything looked pretty good! As we got to "our" beach, we were excited to see the crossover to the beach was there! We started down the crossover and realized the stairs were gone! I guess they were washed away. It ended up working out because I forgot towels so we had no way to wipe all the sand off of our feet had we gone all the way to the water. We walked to the end of the crossover and let Alex look at the water and feel the wind in her hair. She LOVED it!
