She is still army crawling all over the place! She has now gained the confidence to move off the blanket and rug. She's now moving towards the front door and the dining room! Cooper likes to stand over her like he is keeping an eye on her. He is such a protective big brother!
Alex also had blueberries for the first time yesterday. She gobbled them up! Yesterday, I mixed them with oatmeal and today with yogurt! The little munchkin will be 8 months old next week and I am so excited! We are going to start doing 3 meals a day and I have a whole list of new foods we are going to start introducing! She is starting to get the hang of finger foods. Most of the puffs make it in her mouth instead of her lap and she is able to get little pieces of banana in her mouth!
Alex and I had the best day yesterday. She took a short morning nap which ended up working out great, because we got to go take care of my ticket, get Josh's car registered and pick up a few things at Target before we met Erika and Dane for lunch at 11:30! Alex got to sit in a high chair across from Dane so she kept looking at him and watching him eat. She was great! From there, we went to the park and Alex got to swing! She loved it! She kept kicking her little feet and smiling! I loved the park because they have that kind of pressed rubbery stuff instead of sand or rocks on the ground. Alex sat on it just rubbing her hands over it to feel the texture. She was so amused watching Dane on the slide! I sat her on it while holding onto her and let her slide part of the way down. She had the biggest smile on her face! Our busy morning wore the little bunny out! She fell asleep about 2 minutes after we got in the car. She got in a 2 hour nap before we had to leave again for my follow up with the eye doctor. When Josh got home we went to World Market to get some coffee then picked up dinner at Jason's Deli. I love Alex and Mommy days!
